Miss: nu*^4 blocks momentum identification
by Fudoshin Research·2026-08-20·S1·F-2026-08-20-D
In the full quadratic Lineage form, mass is amplified by nu*^4 in dQ/dM. Momentum weights become practically unidentifiable. Weight ID used a linearized model. That is a miss, not a footnote.
Problem under load
The governing equation and the equation you can fit are not the same object. Pretending they are is how a lab loses the right to say 'law.'
Primitive / definition
Exact v2 gradient: dQ/dM scales as M r^4 / Q, where r = nu*/nu0. Transport sensitivity scales as r^2. For large nu*, mass dominates the derivative landscape and beta collapse.
Method / protocol
The Stage E promotion fit a linearized instrument, not the full quadratic. This is recorded as a miss so later writeups cannot quietly treat identified beta as properties of the official invariant.
Result
Held. The linearized model is a measurement instrument. The quadratic form remains the proposed invariant. They must not be cited as one result.
Limitations and next
Open problem: reformulate the invariant for identifiability, or accept the asymmetry and identify beta only in the linear instrument.
